In Vedic astrology, Kaal Sarp Yog is said to form when all seven planets of a birth chart fall on one side of the Rahu–Ketu axis. Kaal Sarp Puja — also called Kaal Sarp Dosh Shanti or Kalsarpa Shanti — is the remedial ritual performed to pacify that placement, with Vedic mantras for Rahu and Ketu, worship of the Nag deities and a havan.
